Wujitang, a local Chinese Martial Arts School founded in 2009 by Master Calvin Gao, needed a website that would communicate and reflect their brand service and needs. Their website was outdated both in technology and in content. In Jan 2017, Wujitang connected with the wow studio.
The new multi-lingual website, build in WordPress, has a very user-friendly site architecture. Furthermore, it is enhanced with social media, email subscription, Instagram feeds, search tools, and Videos and photos. Through co-design, we identified collateral that would enhance the brand identity.

maps, contact form and schedule were added to serve the need of the focus group.
The name is changed from “traditional Chinese Martial Arts” to “Wujitang” aligned with the domain name www.wujitang.ca. The icon was slightly modified to incorporate a brushstroke effect – rooted into the ancient art of Chinese calligraphy and its relation to Chinese Martial Arts. The website is now a reflection of the Mastery of the Martial Arts Institute and it has been truly an honour to have worked with Wujitang and be inspired by the culture, sincerity and discipline of the school practices.

The website offers services in both English and Chinese. While the old website offered service only in English, Wujitan’s community was predominantly Chinese. With the second language, we the brand embraces and celebrated its diversity.

Ahssan has been super quick in responding to my requests and questions. I like his design style as it is clean and precise. He always listens to my needs and many times would provide his expert opinions so I can make good decisions. His support is fast and is willing to walk an extra mile to make things happen. His rates are also very reasonable. I enjoyed working with him through the whole process and I would definitely seek his help again in the future.
