The ECO WASTE BAGs from SVD.PET is 100% Biodegradable. When we think about sustainability and environmentally friendly products, the first thing that comes to mind is the color green. Under that assumption, many companies do “greenwashing” – create the perception that their product is environmentally friendly when in fact it is not.
With the color green not being part of the SVD.PET brand color, the challenge was to create a packaging design that advocates for ECO friendliness -hence the use of cardboard. This packaging is designed for shipping through Amazon. It is not intended to be displayed in stores.
Logo Redesign
Emotional design focuses on creating products that evoke specific emotions and build a connection with the audience. Here we will explain how we redesign the logo through emotional design and create impact.
1. Positive Emotions: A smiling dog conveys friendliness, happiness, and approachability. This positive emotional response can make the logo more appealing and likable.
2. User Connection: People are likelier to connect with and remember a logo that evokes a positive emotional response. A smiling dog can create a sense of warmth and trust, making the brand feel more personable and inviting.
3. Brand Perception: A smile can significantly alter the brand’s perception, making it seem more friendly and engaging. This can enhance customer loyalty and attract more attention to the brand.
4. Emotional Engagement: Emotional design aims to engage users on a deeper level. A smiling dog can evoke feelings of joy and comfort, creating a memorable and emotionally engaging experience for the audience.
In summary, changing a logo from a dog with no smile to a dog with a smile is a simple yet effective example of how emotional design can influence user perception and create a stronger connection with the audience.
The designer provided us with a very good step by step storyboard. In the process of animation we prepared the graphics we realized that a happy dog would yield for a much more likable brand. And so after presenting the suggestion, the client accepted the slightly redesigned version.
Animation supports storytelling. And it can also bring live into a static icon. Here the client provided us with a logo but needed help making the animation to morph the brand icon of a dog into the brand name.

The SVD Waste Bags are 100% biodegradable eco-waste bags made from corn starch. Initially designed for single-use, such as for dog waste, we wanted to broaden the bag’s appeal and communicate that it can be used for a variety of purposes. Instead of limiting the messaging to a single use, we introduced branding icons on the bag to visually inform consumers that these eco-friendly bags are versatile and suitable for multiple types of waste disposal.
